Need sheet music or chords for a song or piece of music, but it was never published?

I can take a recording of the music and transcribe the chords or sheet music for you. Since I write a custom transcription, it can be in any format you're comfortable with. Commonly requested formats, from least to most complex:

Guitar chart / chord sheet

Lyrics and chord/bass symbols only (no five-line staff)

Lead sheet

Vocal line in treble staff, chord symbols above

Piano/vocal score

Vocal line and full piano part; optionally chord symbols also

Full score

Each vocal and instrumental part written out in full

Rate and Payment

$50/hour ($40 for students), billed on the half hour. The time required depends on the length and complexity of the song and the format needed. For those in financial difficulty, we can usually work something out, such as payment across a few periods or a need-based discount. I also offer volume discounts for larger projects.

Generally I take checks or money orders. This is easily available online through the Online BillPay system of most banks. PayPal is also acceptable.

• Name and artist of the song or piece
• An audio file or a YouTube link
• What format transcription you would like
• For songs, a copy of the lyrics to the song
• Requests for fitting a voice range or transposition to a specific key
• Mention if you are a student or requesting any financial consideration

Once we set a price and agree on terms, I will do the work and deliver a PDF and optionally a Sibelius score file.
